Going out to dinner tonight to try the new spring menu at the place on the cliff that overlooks NYC. I've been studying over the menu today and here's what I'm having:
Coconut-Lemongrass Soup
Tamarind Glazed Shellfish, Thai Basil
Chilled Poached Lobster
Fennel, Pickled Mango, Compressed Pineapple,
Cashew, Lychee Remoulade
Lemon Cheesecake
Lime Ice Cream, Blackberry Compote, Lemon Vodka Curd
The RG just returned from Ireland, so we will have a lot to talk about! Looking forward to this.
What a gorgeous menu!

(22,037 posts)We bought a bagful of frozen catfish filets when we were on the Outer Banks a week ago. Unbelievably, our supermarket has fresh corn on the cob and we'll make a mixed salad. Fresh fruit for dessert.
The restaurant you're going to tonight sounds wonderful. Can you share it's name and location? I'll drive to Jersey for the meal you've chosen!
'Cuz I don't want to sound like an ad, LOL. I will PM anyone who wants the name of the restaurant and I will send you the link.

(17,441 posts)TJ made a pot of beef soup. Very savory with the usual carrot, onion, celery and potato and the addition of a package of Birds Eye Southwest Protein Blend from the freezer to make it unusual. Black Beans, corn, lentils and red bell peppers were a welcome addition.
