It's cooking in onion soup, 5 cloves of garlic, a squirt or so of bbq sauce and pinch of red pepper flakes.
I think mashed taters and a veg I haven't decided on yet.

My husband already made the stew (tomato-based) and it is out of this world. So fragrant. My job is the yellow rice and the salad.

like the pork chops did.

And I am accumulating ideas for the squash I have.

Just when I need dh to make some arrangements to go to town and get some more groceries, he has come down with a terrible cold.

So we will be cleaning out the cupboards and fridge this week.

What's happening at your house?

BBQ chicken thighs for the T-man with fries, of course. Not sure what I'm fixing for myself yet but it'll involve chicken breast. Thinking of maybe some sort of quesadilla, with some of my refried beans, grated cheese and salsa verde.

We'll sip on my fantastic coconut-mojitos while we nosh. For the main course, brined pork chops seared and finished in the oven, sweet potato puree, spinach, and a crusty roll. If we have room for dessert, there is always a good supply of sorbets in the freezer. Happy Monday All!

Gram is addicted to Hot wings. Had us buy a bag for her 2 days ago, and says she's waited long enough, she wants them for dinner.
this is the woman who says the guac is too hot if I add more than one chili to the batch! lol

Leftover beef and cabbage for the rest of us. I used the purple cabbage, cause that's what I had, and I actually liked it better. It's a little milder. But it was a little odd eating purple soup.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on the internets that it was St. Patrick's favorite too.

I get these sprouted dried lentils, mung and something else thingies in a bag at Costco. They cook up quickly and are very tasty

I threw them in with a can of tomatoes, carrot, onion, celery, veggie bouillion, bay leaf, garlic and some crushed red pepper.

I have some left over brown rice so I'll probably add that to the soup when I serve it.

I may make some grilled cheese sammies to go with it depending how hungry we are later. SO has some left over steak from last nights dinner too so I might add that to his soup or he can have a cheese steak.

With homemade corn tortillas, refried beans from last month's batch taken out of the freezer, a little hamburger fried in olive oil and doused with salsa, shredded romaine, tomatoes, grated cheese, and more salsa.

This is actually two meals, so we'll have the rest of it in a couple of days.
