What to Cook This Week

'Good morning. Melissa Clark has a terrific new recipe up on our site and apps, for hake with asparagus, scallions and aioli (above). I think that would be worth making tonight even if you can’t find hake, which wouldn’t be surprising outside the northeastern part of the United States. (It’s in the same family as cod and haddock, though milder, with smaller flakes of flesh.) You could use grouper or mahi mahi instead, or Alaskan pollock, even tilapia.

I like David Tanis’s new recipe for stuffed Sicilian pizzas as well, and if any day is good for cooking those this week it’s probably today. Very continental!

And for dessert: blueberry cobbler? This summer’s shaping up awesome.

(Can’t find good fish? Try Melissa’s recipe for skillet chicken with rhubarb instead, along with Pierre Franey’s recipe for vegetables au gratin.)'>>>
