What's for Dinner, Sun., July 1, 2018

Cold Galician fish stew, made with monkfish. This is something the RG made the other day and I have been saving it for today as I knew it was going to be hot and I would not want to cook.

In addition, a tossed green salad with raw vegetables like green pepper, scallion, cucumber, and carrot.

For dessert, vanilla ice cream and blueberries.

It is so hot here.

We're in North East Pennsylvania on the Delaware River. It was 91º F today.

We're grilling a skirt steak that has been marinating in olive oil and various spices since this morning. Alongside the steak, I'll grill some asparagus spears and two ears of corn.

My fiancee has an amazing garden so we'll have a fresh salad of Romain (green and red leafs) and other garden yummies.

Our local wine store recently changed ownership and we bought two cases of Ruffino at cost!

Fresh berries for dessert.

Have a great week, my friends!

Baked the bread this morning. Probably heirloom tomatoes with basil pesto plus whatever else we can find.

The husband is making grilled chicken. He made a cold pasta salad earlier, and we have red lettuce and green beans from the garden.

We've been watching Serious Eats on the Roku in the mornings, and this sounded like a good way to do salmon. I'm also cooking some cauliflower that I bought at the Farmers Market, to have with lemon, butter, and some garlic chives.

After yesterday's heat, it's cooling off a bit here, so you East Coasters should have some relief coming. But, it's going to get hot again - oh well, it's July, what do we expect?

Pepperoni and sausage Pizza

I'm getting ready for my Dr. appointment Friday by eating healthy.

FLFC had rotisserie chicken - Dark meat got 3-1/2 paws, white meat got 3.

I fell asleep and didn't post last night.
