What's for Dinner, Wed., July 25, 2018

First course: shrimp tacos. Shredded cabbage, onion, and garlic, all chopped fine. Thai pepper added and mixed with wasabi mayo, cider vinegar, and salt. This was blended into a bit of a paste and put on the taco, the shrimp added.

Next up was thin strips of Wagyu beef that the RG bought at the Japanese supermarket up in Weehawkin. He mixed this with triple cream soft-ripened cheese he bought at TJ's and put it in a wrap.

Accompanying this was sauteed artichokes with red pepper. Cheddar cheese sticks to go with.

For drinks we had blood orange, black carrot, and blueberry Italian soda.

We were going to have blueberries and cream, but ended just munching on some dark chocolate, peanut, and almond bars. Blueberries tomorrow!

It was easy, instead of using plain water in the rice pot, I used the decafe black sun tea. The grains were a light brown, I imagine that if I used a stronger tea brew, the color would be darker & the flavor more pronounced.
