It's made just like the real thing, but with steamed cauliflower rather than potatoes. I'm having mine with shrimp salad, and Hubby gets fried flounder and rice pilaf, too.

Appetizer: Mashed avocado with minced onion and a little hot sauce served with toasted slices of a baguette (I know, mixed styles but so what?)

Salad: Home grown cherry tomatoes, homegrown lettuce (that's the end of those plants!), chopped green peppers (left overs, eh?)

Main dish: Grilled pork tenderloin marinated in a honey BBQ sauce

Side dish: Mashed potatoes with garlic

Dessert: Pears and cheese

To drink: Cokes then brandy!

It's early yet for us. We picked tomatoes this afternoon and we will have them for sure. Burgers or BLTs possible, I'll update later.

EDIT: Cheese burgers with a lot of fresh tomato, sauteed onion and mushrooms. Very messy burgers!
Sides of slaw and potato salad.
Vanilla ice cream with blueberries.

FLFC has a twitchy nose smelling the burgers. I'm not sure he has room for more food, but he will insist on a taste.

FLFC went to the doggie spa today. He is fully healed and could get his shots and a haircut. He is trimmed very short on the body with a furry tail and lion head look. He looked strange before this because his left hip and leg had been shaved. He also had puffy cuffs on his front legs due to the shave for the IVs. He looks so, so, tiny now, but all even. We can see how well that leg now works and note that it is straighter than his right one.

He got home very hungry and had:

an appetizer of chicken flavor cat treats
pieces of our leftover T-bone steak
dessert of some fake bacon doggie treats.

This was a four paws up dinner.
