(1,706 posts)from this: http://www.food.com/recipe/chicken-curry-in-a-hurry-29301 with some rice and stir-fried veggies. It seems to be a good and fairly easy recipe.
Pot roast is a favorite Saturday meal for my family during the winter. But it's acting like Spring here in the midwest, so something a little lighter is warranted.

(146,218 posts)I found a recipe that looks good. Going to serve it on steak with a side salad of avocado, orange and red onion.
Husband has a very bad cold and can't taste a thing. So he won't notice if it's not good.

(16,334 posts)for a family thing. They are serving lasagna (from frozen) and we are taking a big salad.
I know the lasagna will taste fine but we have been low to no salt for months and I am trying not to eat anything like this (processed/fat). I am not looking forward to this. You can't say anything or you will just draw attention to yourself so it's best we eat a tiny bit and try to fill up on salad!

Or if you are thinking she needs more protein in the meal, how about a side dish of cottage cheese for her?

(163,986 posts)for a belated birthday dinner. But this will come up again. Yes, I was thinking about what protein I could sub for the beef. Maybe I can learn how to braise tofu and slide it in at the end just before serving.
