What's for Dinner, Wed., Oct. 11, 2018

The recipe is called Tuscan Pork Loin with Sage. It has prosciutto, sage, of course, white wine, and parsley in it.

The RG is starved for fresh green salad (never thought I'd see the day), so another big leafy green salad. Apparently they don't do salads much in Indonesia. Everything else (even bacon) in a Muslim country, but tough finding a leafy green salad, according to him.

Just by way of interest, he remarked last night that the Italians and the French have green leaf salads, but the Germans, not really. He said a salad there would be more like chopped root vegetables with a dressing made of mayo and ketchup mixed together with a touch of mustard for tanginess.

Eggplant slices, dredged in some type of low-carb flour, topped with mozzarella, basil, and tomato.

Now, dessert: wow, is this ever decadent. He took slices of brioche and spread them with mascarpone and Nutella. Some slices had dark chocolate instead of Nutella. Made this like a sandwich and baked it.

May have something with nutella tonight, and wait for brioche from neighborly patisserie next week!

My old chix curry BEFORE dessert!

Haagen-Daz has a good 'Crispy Trio' layers: Vanilla, Blackberry with Belgian chocolate; the blackberry ice cream really makes it!

3 cheese tortellini with a sliced into coins vegetarian Italian style 'sausage', overly salty commercial pesto over both and a slice of garlic toast. Cold decafe peach tea. Enough leftovers for tomorrow lunch.
