Starting off with salt & vinegar lentil chips and French onion dip for an appetizer.
Next up is cherry-arugula-goat cheese salad. Has pistachios in it, too. I found the recipe in the NY Times. It has tarragon vinegar and balsamic as well. I found an easy way to pit the cherries. If it works, I'll post it.
Couscous with lamb. The lamb is from the last lamb shank from Wednesday. I was raving over last night's dinner, so the
RG made this for me, as he is in Manhattan tonight.
Not sure about dessert. Will post back if I do anything interesting. I was thinking about baking some chocolate peanut brownies, having one or two, and giving the rest away.

(22,038 posts)We're in the mountain house and had light snow all day. Beautiful.
Appetizer: Antipasti with Vino Rosso salami, small slices of tomato with pesto and topped with mozzarella, slices of hearts of palm all drizzled with olive oil and Balsamic vinaigrette and minced onion and garlic. Served with toasted French bread.
Entree: Breaded boneless pork chops pan fried served with yellow rice and spinach salad.
Dessert: A fire, brandy and left-over holiday chocolates.

(55,016 posts)doctored up the broth and added pork, scrambled egg and a tray of fresh "stir fry" veggies that was on a coupon for free (basically floor sweepings sold to extra lazy people) it was pretty gross to be honest, but got the vegs used before they went bad
a couple of cuties and some pistachios for desert
