I'll try to cover this thread for our friend, Irisblue, during her travels.
This morning, I'll have coffee with 1% milk. Then orange juice and water with the meds, (some breakfast!).
When I get to my office, I'll have a toasted bagel with a bit of butter and an apple.
I've got a major business lunch planned so I'm looking forward to that!

(6,798 posts)Am usually in bed between 11 and midnight. Sad to say old habits die hard and no matter what time I go to bed my internal clock wakes me at 5 am. Only difference now is I can stay in bed not. Two dogs make sure I am stumbling around the yard as the sun comes up. Breakfast tomorrow morn will be yogurt, blueberries, English muffin, organic apple juice and coffee with cream.

(10,150 posts)We used to teach together and we belonged to the same gun club where we shot sporting clays and we grew quite close over the years. He lost his eyesight late last winter. Before he lost his eyesight we went out lunch or breakfast a couple times a week. We are trying to keep that tradition going.
Now in my seventies it's sad to see my friends get more infirm and die.

(68,582 posts)potato ravioli ...gluten free. It was delicious. I haven't mastered gluten free ravioli yet...I have a machine and it disintegrates...I made a low calorie white sauce which would be good on any pasta...especially in the fall...
Melt on tbsp of light butter or any butter or oil of your choice in a pan. Add one to two cloves of garlic. Saute until tender but not brown. Add 1 tbsp of flour (used gluten free but any would work), Add a 1/2 cup of skim milk or any milk or cream you desire. I added more milk as it got very thick...next add fresh if you have it sage (recipe said a TBSP) to taste...I used dry myself...about a TBSP and it was still very good. Salt and pepper to taste and add one TBSP of maple syrup at the end and then lots of fresh ground pepper to taste...it was so good and very low calorie. I also had roasted chicken thighs and green beans with old bay seasoning.
