The RG was on Long Island today and bought a big bag of seafood sandwiches home from a place called Paris Baguette Boulangerie. ? Never heard of it, but I don't go to NY often. This is our dinner for tonight, plus some type of vegetable; broccoli with garlic, I think.
Because he was up and out of here before 7 a.m., he took a nap when he arrived home and I sneaked a sandwich. Oh man, are these good! The roll is like nothing I've ever had before, and it is filled with seafood and fresh veggies like cucumber and also some coleslaw.
I'm gonna' enjoy this!!!
Dessert: Banana pudding.

(21,990 posts)I lived on Long Island for about 20 years and I think Paris Baguette is a chain. They had a place in Flushing where I went once or twice. They have great gourmet sandwiches and cakes. Enjoy yours, NJCher!
I'm alone again tonight so I made rigatoni with a red sauce and some hot sausages. A simple green salad to balance it and a scoop of vanilla ice cream before bed.

(130,714 posts)We moved to RVC to be near my adopted mother's brother+ family, after 'we married,' moved from Brooklyn. Had great schools (they still do, and high school classmates still among my best friends.)
I didn't pay attention to politics at the time; sure you're right.
Dad rode LIRR to Manhattan every day, and the rest of us liked the ability to do so.
Dad coached my brother's 'little kids' basketball team, and was gut wrenching for we observers!
All of this was way before your years there, I'm sure.
