Posting early due to working late.
We have a negotiations meeting with our college and afterward the union negotiations committee is going out. We always go to the same place: Olive Garden. I know the OG is the subject of many longstanding jokes at DU, but this particular one is run well and actually serves good food.
We always order the same thing. It will be seafood stuffed mushrooms and shrimp fritta for an appetizer and salmon piccata for an entree'.
I love their lemon cake for dessert, so I'm sure I'll order that if I can.

(38,557 posts)cakes, pies, cookies... good stuff. I think the single best dessert I ever ate was at a fancy restaurant in Cambridge, MA (Rialto)--it was a lemon crème brulee served w/ fresh raspberries and a shortbread cookie.
Tonight we're having pork chops breaded (bread crumbs and Ranch seasoning) and baked, baked potato w/ sour cream, steamed green beans and sliced tomato.
Dad and sis had cheeseburgers w/ all the fixings, corn on the cob and sliced cucumbers.
