Pizza and the last of the baby arugula. I was able to pick enough cherry tomatoes for the arugula salad and are they ever delicious when they're fresh off the vine!
Dessert is watermelon: cold, sliced watermelon.

For dessert, I have Ricotta cookies made by my Mom. She usually only makes them at Christmas, but shes been doing a lot of baking during quarantine. Theyre soooo good with a cup of hot tea or coffee. They are soft, have some almond extract in them, a little simple powdered sugar icing on top, and she added rainbow sprinkles! I was thrilled when she called and told me to stop by the house to pick some up!

BTW, caught your comment from yesterday and there's no recipe. He makes this stuff up in his head and then carries it out in the kitchen. I will, however, ask him for the seasonings and ingredients.

(1,706 posts)With my backyard tomatoes and basil from the Farmers Market. I thought the recipe had way too much oil so I cut it back. Delicious, but wished I had some good Italian bread to sop up the juices.
