Pan-seared tilefish with rice. First the tilefish got a "rub." Then it was seared in a cast-iron skillet. The rice was cooked in coconut milk, so it's a creamy rice.
Cherry tomato salad with red onion, basil, and vinaigrette.
Cucumber salad in sour cream, creme fraiche, and mayonnaise dressing.
Dessert is rum cake with coffee chip ice cream on the top.

(892 posts)Tonight it will be Keto tuna salad on slices of homemade Keto bread with leaf lettuce, a fresh spinach salad with olive oil and fresh lemon juice vinaigrette, and for dessert homemade Keto mini lemon cheesecakes topped with fresh raspberries.
Husband has already lost twenty pounds, and he wants to lose twenty more. Finding a good Keto cookbook has been a godsend!

(68 posts)Sorry for posting this here but I guess I'm not yet able to start my own post topic.
I am going to be making some homemade sauerkraut but I do not have a weighing scale. I know they're not much money but right now budget is just too tight.
My question is does anyone have a good salt to cabbage ratio by volume they could post?
Thanks everyone and again sorry for posting this here.

(1,819 posts)you will cover the cabbage with kosher salt and let it stay in colander covered with a plate for heaviness.
when cabbage has lost most of its moisture rinse all the salt off throughly. Maybe two or three times rinse.
The recipe will tell you how much salt to add to the rinsed cabbage probably it will be in the dressing recipe.
I hope this helps.

(38,574 posts)My sis gave them to me. (They came in a gift box for my dad, and dad doesn't care for hot dogs.) They're from the Omaha Steak company. Says "Gourmet Hot Dogs" on the box. They're huge. Skinless (I prefer natural casing). Tasty enough. Onions, relish, sauerkraut and mustard. Toasted New England style bun.
(Can you believe I just wrote all that to describe a hot dog? I need to find something to do.)
Macaroni and cheese.
I'll have an apple if I'm looking for dessert.

(10,434 posts)I see them advertised all the time and always wonder if they're worth the price.
Several years ago on a work trip, I went to Omaha Prime in beautiful downtown Omaha where they serve Omaha Steaks. It was a very good steak, but not better than any other good steakhouse. Considerably more pricey though.

(38,574 posts)I wouldn't say "great," but tasty.
They're VERY big. I don't mean long. I mean plump.
