Related: About this forumDoes anybody know who one gets to clean and recalibrate a gas stove?
I have a 16 year old 6-burner, 2-oven commercial grade stove. I was having problems with the electric ignition on the burners and followed the instructions in the users' guide to take apart all of the burners and clean them. I couldn't believe the amount of carbon I got out of those. And once they were back in position, they have been lighting and working great.
Now I notice that my ovens aren't reaching their set temperatures. And I think they are probably suffering from carbon build-up as well. Do you call an appliance repairman or the gas company or who?

(674 posts)and if they aren't the right ones they should tell you who to call. The gas company may want to check it out for safety and that should be a free visit, might even include a cleaning.

The gas company charged me $10 to get it recalibrated and some other thingy inside cleaned up.
