MEASURE OUT YOUR INGREDIENTS BEFORE YOU START!!! (once your sugar mixture comes to temp, you do not have time to measure stuff out at that point).
greased 9X13 dish
3 cups sugar
1 cup milk
dash of salt
stir together in saucepan, then cook over medium heat--without stirring--until mixture reaches one notch above "soft ball" stage on candy thermometer.
Remove from heat and add:
3 tbsp. butter
1 cup marshmallow fluff
1 cup peanut butter (creamy or smooth--your preference)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
stir until fully combined
pour into greased dish and allow to set completely
