Dishwasher tip

Here's a dishwasher tip an appliance repairman passed along to me...to prolong the life of your dishwasher (slowdown corrosion) don't use the soap container in the door. He said that was way too much soap. Instead he said to sprinkle far less than that on to the inside of the door itself, close it, and start it up.

You save on soap, help the environment, and you help your dishwasher.

It was a nice tip. I would surely try this. Well, I would like to add one. All you have to toss a cup of white vinegar into the bottom of an empty dishwasher. Then run a normal cycle, this will clean the old food particles and keep your dishwasher smelling fresh.
