I can't believe what just happened!
I was lying on the couch, watching TV with one eye and looking at my phone with the other. Holly walked out of the kitchen and as she was almost out of the living room, I said "Holly! Come to Mama." She stopped walking, paused for a few seconds, then turned around, came over to the couch, jumped up, walked all the way across me and laid down! If you knew Holly, you would know this is very unusual; it has NEVER happened before! It is truly a red-letter day. I was so delighted. I happily rewarded her with pets and scritches.
It didn't last long because as soon as Martini heard me calling Holly, she came right over to chase her away. These cats are just like little kids, so jealous of each other, each one so afraid the other one is going to get something she's not. "Don't call her, call me. Don't pet her, pet me. Don't play with her, play with me."
