I discovered the best cat toy!

Believe it or not, pipecleaners. When my kids were little, they made candy canes to put on our Christmas tree with twisted pipe cleaners. Somehow, our cat discovered it and loved to play with them. My current gal-pal is almost six years old and hardly plays with anything. But she loves throwing twisted pipe cleaners up in the air and knocking them around. I gave several of them to my daughter who has two cats and they both love playing with them.

They carry it around and bat it across our hardwood floors.

Our male Siamese likes Q-tips, and knows just where to find them in my husband’s workshop. He helps himself when he gets the chance.

A friend who has been sending pipe cleaners for the cats in the Christmas box for years asked if my new guys liked them. Oh yes, I said so they got new ones for Christmas.

ETA: Except Skippy who was far more fond of hair scrunchies. Still have the little tin of hair scrunchies that he would sit by and wait patiently for the stoopid hooman to notice he needed a new one. He would choose which one he wanted for the day. Since my cousin knows I'd like the cats ashes planted with mine as a tree when I go, maybe I should put the scrunchy tin with Skippy's ashes--or more sensibly, just empty it and let it serve some other purpose, right?
