Holly wins again.

Today, I sat down on the couch to eat my lunch, a sandwich and a glass of Dr. Pepper. The glass was on the end table to the left of me. Holly jumped up on the arm of the couch and because I didn't want her sniffing at the glass or inadvertently hitting it with her tail, I very gently eased her off to the floor. She jumped right back up and I eased her off again. She jumped up a third time and dug her nails into the arm, so I gave up. There's no use fighting with a determined cat. She won. She always wins. So there I sat eating my lunch, with Holly to my left and Martini on my right, staring at me, begging for pieces of lunch meat like a little dog.

And I wouldn't have it any other way. Am I lucky or what?

I've been winning since the day I brought them home! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Thank you for this perspective, JMCKUSICK!

Edited to add: I may be the winner, but they're still the bosses! Or should I say queens since they're the rulers of the house!
