Related: About this forumToday, Holly, who has never been what you would call a lap cat,
spent some time lying almost all the way across my lap! (She just got up and walked away; she must have sensed I was typing about her.)
This is a red-letter day. How far she's come from the time she was terrified of me and wouldn't come anywhere near me. It only took 14 years for her to lay in my lap!
My Holly, full of surprises. I just wanted to share this momentous occasion with my pet friends on DU, who will understand what a big deal this is.
Love you guys.

(44,256 posts)2. I know how you feel. Patches is a big cat and he doesn't sit on my lap much.
But he has found a place beside me on the couch, which is very nice
