Related: About this forumI'm sitting here with my cats on either side of me.
I turned to Martini and I sang to her "you a kitten" (yes, I am that kind of crazy cat lady; thank you for asking) and she gazed back at me adoringly. I turned to Holly and sang to her "you a kitten" and she just kept staring straight ahead and then she turned her head away from me as if to say "oh no, she's acting stupid again."
Holly does not suffer fools gladly. She's above it all!

(29,162 posts)...when she hears female singing, whether it's me or something on the television/YouTube, etc. She does the same thing if I play my flute. I'm never sure if she is trying to sing along, or objecting to the singing.
One time she gently nipped my chin while I was singing, which makes me suspect that she disapproves.

(2,501 posts)I used to sing "These Boots are Made for Walkin'" to my previous cat, Boots, and she would always meow after every line. I never did figure out if she was singing along or telling me to stop!

(29,276 posts)When I'd get the hiccups, his eyes would get really big. Then he'd walk over and bite me.
I used to dance with him. Our favorite was the Russian Dance from The Nutcracker. He'd take just so much of whirling around the room, then his eyes would get big, and.....he'd bite me.
Loved that old boy to pieces. He lived to be 16, and died peacefully on the couch.

(29,276 posts)I got him when I was working as a vet tech, and a woman came in with a box full of kittens.
He would also bite the dogs, Greyhounds at the time.
