I just got back from my weekly volunteer stint at Tampa Bay Cat Alliance. I swept out some of the pens. Several kittehs made it known that they were confuzzled by my presence, and they tried to steal my towels. One tried to untie my shoe.

Here's a little guy who was sitting in his cage and didn't approve of all this hoomin interference (in the background is another one of our volunteers - I'm not in the photo):

I have been a volunteer working with cats 3 1/2 years and it's great. I've handled hundreds of them: first as a socializer, then a photographer, and now I foster them too.

And after all this, I still love them.
