The Humane Society of the Ohio Valley robbed

Hi Everyone,
Countryjake suggested I post this news in the Pets (Group). The break-in robbery happened 2 nights ago.

Marietta, Ohio was broken into and robbed over night (Feb. 16, 2015). The shelter animals are ok, but the criminals stole the cash register and whatever cash was in it. I just saw the news on their Facebook page.

Here is a link to the HSOV:

The HSOV is getting a lot of local support. One of the volunteers or supporters started a gofundme fund drive, for which Countryjake provided a link:

I see that the gofundme has exceeded their request. Awesome!

I have a feeling that it is someone who knew there was cash left them in the register, because most places don't do that. Scum.

2 small businesses on one of Marietta's main streets were broken into--broke the glass front doors into pieces. I thought at the time that the criminals had probably picked businesses that might not have security alarms. The door at the back of the shelter was broken, so I'm wondering if the same person or persons that broke into the businesses broke into the shelter? There was snow on the ground, so they crooks might have left footprints and tire tracks. And I hope there are security cameras on the shelter.
