They just got here, and Mom is nuring them after their trip. We don't know anything about the dad, but most likely not a full lab, possible not a lab at all. But the pups are tiny but cute.

3. Not sure about the daddy or daddies

They don't look as pure as Dixie's litter did. But we knew who the parents of that litter was. This girl was a stray, and she gave birth at the shelter.

And the shelter for calling you folks. Hope this mom isn't traumatized too much. And with 11 to nurse, they'll have to take turns. Bless the smallest one and good luck to him/her.


If I were a vet, I'd probably stay mostly broke because I'd offer neutering free of charge. It breaks my heart to think of the number of babies who are put down in "dog pounds."

6. Part German Shepherd?

Friends dog looked a lot like that as a puppy (also a rescue) with the brown-black mottled fur and semi-standing up ears. As an adult they've guessed she's a lab-shepherd mix. Cute and sweet dog.

A few have shepard-like markings, but at 5 days it is still too early to tell. And I agree, it is a good mix. Stay tuned for the next few weeks, it should come out more as they get older.
