I want to enthusiastically recommend a movie: My Dog Tulip

Sparkly rented this from Netflix. It is the animated story of a man and his dog in the UK, immediately after WWII. The dog is "an Alsatian bitch" . . . . which, of course, is very much near and dear to us. The animators captured so perfectly the GSD persona and personality. The animators are a husband and wife team who did the entire movie in their home in a Philadelphia suburb. The "making of" extra was worth watching.

It is an adult movie, to be sure, with British sensibilities and humor, some of which is laugh-out-loud. A lot of it is scatological, too, but in no way offensive.

While the story is about a GSD, the "dog" stuff is just perfectly captured . . . . dog stuff. On Netflix, it is rental only, no streaming. I can't praise the movie enough. We really enjoyed it.
