been exposed to, but you can't be too careful with these little ones. Did he get his vaccinations at the shelter or humane society? Does your vet give Interferon? If not, get some Lysine granules and Vitamin C powder from the health food store and start feeding it in his food. Please ask a vet tech or a pharmacist to help you with the dosages. I know that a lot of my colleagues in cat rescue use all of these preparations to treat kittens with viruses. Good luck and keep us posted on this little darling boy's health. He is a sweetheart. BTW, my Texas family includes some members from the Darling family (from England via Boston) who were early settlers in Texas.

Couldn't get an appointment today. He already got his first 2 rounds of kitten shots at the shelter and he was in a cage by himself. They don't keep kittens together unless they're from the same litter. He doesn't get his rabies vaccine for a few more weeks.

Bless you for having him checked out. As an obsessive-compulsive cat person, I probably over-vet my cats, but I don't think it hurts them.

They can take a turn for the worse so quickly. I'm taking to a vet I used before with my adult cat. If nothing else it will be a "meet and greet".

The vet said it was most likely viral or allergies and gave me some antihistamines for him. Everything else checked out fine.

Oddly enough he's not sneezing nearly as much today. I think his sniffles might be at least partly from allergies. We had heavy rain yesterday which would have washed a lot of the pollen out of the air.

He weighed in at a fightin' 2 lbs so I can start using Frontline on him for fleas.

and then collapse into a coma. So much fun. Looks like you have a BFF! Glad he checked out okay at the vet.
