Related: About this forumSaid goodbye to my big, lovable sweetie this afternoon.
He had lung cancer and went downhill overnight.
My heart is broken and my other dogs are so depressed.
When we found him as a mangy puppy.

Peace and comfort.

When he crossed the rainbow bridge, pretty sure, the first thing he did was to brag about
the life he lived with the a la izquierda family...

(4,033 posts)When one of those 'heart dogs' come along and then leave, they take a piece of our hearts with the when they go. But the always leave a piece of their heart with you. Know that that little piece of his heart will always stay with you and, in time, you will be able to remember the good times as well as the loss.
Run Free, big guy and have a ball at the Rainbow Bridge, until it is time to meet again.

(160,542 posts)to a confident, comfortable, loving, intelligent friend before he was taken from you.
It appears he was very much at home with you and your environment, and loved it. You gave something he needed so much.
Thinking of what you said in one of your downthread posts, it really doesn't seem as if that special, personal love, and presence of one wonderful animal appeared in your life just to be destroyed.
I am hoping there is an amazing, spectacular reality behind it all we will learn, in time.
Best wishes for your healing time.
