Desperately need a home for a 10 year old female (spayed)

boxer mix in the dallas fortworh area. Weighs about 50 pounds. Sweet dog but like all boxers will defend her food and toys. Will deliver within 60 miles. Landlord will not allow pets, in danger of being evicted. City pound is only current option.

surrenders--too full.

Why in God's name would someone get a boxer if they didn't want a territorial animal?

Rescues are all overwhelmed these days I'm sorry to say. I'm not familiar with the group myself as I do cat rescue, but it got a good recommendation from a couple of dog rescuers that I'm friends with.

People get dogs and cats all the time without giving ANY thought to what the animal will actually require, much less giving any thought to what it might take for the animal to be naturally what it's supposed to be (i.e., space, temperament, etc.)

Breaks my heart. I wish you the very best and I'm saying a prayer for this doggie. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your efforts to help him.
