I made pasta carbonara tonight. I sat down to cut the peppered bacon into cubes.

I learned I had to fight all 3 cats for the bacon, pre and post cooked. I knew my dogs LOVED bacon, but the cats demanding it is new.🐾🐾🐾. They still amaze me

Majik gets a teaspoon of coffee cream when I get a cup of coffee. If I get watermelon, he gets some, and shredded cheese is a looonnng demanding wail.
I haven't given the teenage kits human food, they tried grab& go with the bacon. I love bacon, but haven't had it here at home for near a year. The odds are not in my favor in this game.

I specify seal point because they tend to be more Siamesey than other Siamese. LOL

My first Lab and my Border Collie never showed interested in eating any nasty crap. The Lab thought deer poop was cologne, not food.

A neighbor's dog used to do that and I assumed he was really hungry so I got him some dog biscuits.
Why do dogs eat mud?

my older neighbors would cook a little extra spaghetti at lunch time and throw it out to the feral cats. I used to have pictures of wild cats with spaghetti looped around their faces! Cats are great.

I think he got started liking them because of the dab of bacon fat that was put in the pot of beans when cooking them, but he went on to demand raw beans as they were picked in the garden.

Cats, you never know what they are really up to.

Grab an ear, remove the husks, and offer the raw, fresh corn to kitties. I was amazed the first time I saw kittens ravish an ear.

If I'm having Spam, for instance, she goes nuts as soon as I open the can. I cut off a very small piece and have her sit up for it. She snarfs it down with great enjoyment, gives me a little meow of thanks, and saunters off.

She will do that even if I'm snacking in the living room and she's in my lap. Her little fuzzy eyeballs follow every potato chip from the bag to my mouth, and she will eventually start making moves to climb into the bag. Then I break off a small piece of chip and give it to her, she snarfs it down, then curls up in my lap and shows no further interest in the potato chips as I continue eating them.

It isn't that she decides she doesn't like whatever it is. She eats her taste with every sign of enjoying it greatly.

She's just a little bit of a weird cat. Calico, which explains a lot.
