That first one is just a treasure! What a couple of cuties the both are. Such a curious little guy he is, too (though he won't be little for long!).

He still makes me think of an orange creamsickle... I just want to lick him!

biff had his first meeting with his vet yesterday. funny that we got the guy who gave me the ammunition to shoot down the bulldog idea last year. he was very interested in what the breeders are up to, and pronounce biff to be almost free of typical bulldog problems.
he is an unbelievable 24 lb. @ 12 weeks old. he has a properly shaped ribcage, unlike most bulls. his elbows are not ridiculously bowed. his back is correctly formed. his nose is an almost proper nose shape. a little narrowed, but if it doesn't shape up naturally, it is easily remedied while he is being neutered. they will also look at his soft palette, which looks ok now. they can also correct a common fault with that.
(he was conceived and born naturally.)
the vet was very surprised to see such a healthy bully. he agreed that we could expect to have two very old bullies some day.
the staff drooled all over him. doc was along, also, and they were a little wild, but really for a pair of pups, they were very good. no one pooped on the floor, anyway.

he did have a reaction to his shot, tho. his little face swelled up, and he could hardly breathe out of his nose. we gave him a claritin, and some ice water to drink, an ice cube to lick, and he was better pretty quickly. now we know.

anyway, joy.

The little one, learning to be a dog, imitates the big one. Then it becomes natural. And the puppy is a dog.

Two sturdy, handsome dogs ya got there!
