We had to go to a pill instead of the liquid squirted on dogs back after we moved a couple of years ago and our neighbor doesn't use flea protection on her pets. Our girl has a flea allergy and was itching like crazy, the vet found fleas on her and suggested we switch.

3. Last year Advantage stopped working

We had been using it for 5 years, and then it just didn't seem to work.

We ended up getting a (chewable) - lasts for 12 weeks remedy from the vet. Very expensive!

5. Comfortis is great. You should also check out Revolution for dogs.

Revolution takes care of fleas ticks and heart worm too. You should also spray your yard. I usually buy stuff at Lowes. Make sure you read the fine print on the back of the bottle to confirm that what you're buying works on fleas and ticks. I just get the kind that you can attach to the end of a garden hose.
