And he's actually overweight for his racing size. Don't worry, we fret about their weight constantly in our house...we have two greys

We have two and Dylan is or baby boy. The are certainly soulful creatures.

We have a friend who works for a local society that rescues them and she was walking her greyhound in the dog park recently and a lady came up to her and goes "I'm calling Animal Control!" "Why?", our friend asks. "Because that Great Dane is severely malnourished and you clearly don't know how to care for it!" "Um, it's a greyhound.."

I used to on occasion give Princess Peanut, part greyhound, a meat covered femur from the butcher as a treat & tooth cleaning device. It worked until, in her enthusiasm, she cracked her tooth. Blood from her mouth drew fast attention and a vet visit & a tooth extraction. That was costly.
I got a rubber finger& dog toothpaste& once a wk made her unhappy. She did like the greenie after though.
That expression is.one I have seen.

His breath is stinky because I had just given the dogs a treat of hard boiled eggs....which he and his "sister", an older greyhound, love.

They're so sweet - friendly, gentle, love to be petted, and they like to lean on you. I'd probably adopt one if it weren't for the fact that the cats would have a galactic hissy fit.
