Last year we had a problem with a rather large fatty tumor that hurt her when she walked. I only had half the money to pay for her surgery until the sweet and loving people of DU took over and helped me get the other half.

Since then, she's been a happy couch potato and no longer has issues with pain and walking!

I'm often amazed by her age and her strength! I just love her to pieces!

Not that it matters but she is a full bred Irish Labrador. She's had a rough life... I don't care about her lineage so much, but yes.. I agree she is a beauty!

I was born in Austin, and most of my family live there now. We're all Longhorns--alums and fans. I was class of '86.

She's such a loving and amazing lady!

Her background was rough, she was originally bred as a bird hunting dog. Once the owners decided that they no longer wanted to bird hunt she was sent to a back yard and in an old dog house that she stayed in for years and years with rare human love and contact.

It's a long story on how I obtained her, but she now lives like a queen. She will never have to spend another night outside ever again!

I don't know how much longer I'll have her, but her health is very good and she is a beautiful and loving old gal.
