German Shepherd and Tortoise Rescued After Getting Stuck in Tunnel Together

Inside Edition Staff 19 hrs ago

- video at link -

An unlikely duo found themselves in deep trouble last Wednesday.

Taylor the German shepherd and Godzilla the tortoise became trapped in a tunnel together in Fontana, California, last week, and couldn't get out.

"I'm just thinking, like, 'How did she get down there?'" owner Tracy Arballo told Inside Edition of Taylor.

She tried everything to get them out, but finally the fire department had to be called in to help.

Firefighters got inventive, offering Godzilla her favorite snack to lure her out: Lettuce.

It worked! Godzilla moved out of the way, and Taylor was happily able to make her escape.

I got the feeling they both live there, but Ms. Tortoise hibernates under the house in the winter. Judi Lynn Feb 2019 #2

Once the tortoise moved, the pup could get out. But does the tortoise have the same owner?

I think they were old friends, but couldn't work out how to get doggie outta there.

You may recall seeing the 3 Stooges trying to go through a door at the same time.

Maybe you saw George W Bush trying to rush ahead of Bill Clinton at the opening of his library and getting jammed in there together for a moment.

Very cool.

The other forum I've belonged to is GasBuddy, LOL. And people posted photos - and there was this guy who posted pix of his two pets hanging together, a Bichon pup and a tortoise!
