I usually end up looking for the Kleenex. Its a must see for animal lovers, especially dogs.

(10,565 posts)Brandon McMillan rescues dogs from the shelter where they are scheduled to be euthanized. He is a trainer, so he trains the pups and find worthy homes. Some are special needs dogs.

(2,861 posts)Brandon has a book out too, which is also very good. Unfortunately my dog is very very old. I'll have to see if his techniques work on my cats.

(2,861 posts)I too have lost a dog and a cat this year. Our cat '2k' was 18 and she was ready to go, but poor Eightball was only 10 years old. He came down with bone cancer and our vet said it was best to send him over. We did x-rays and his left front leg was on the verge of snapping. He was about 110 lbs. He had had surgery on his back knee a few years earlier. He blew both of his ACL's out and we needed to take him to a large animal vet to get that fixed. We still have about 4 cats running around the house, but we recently had to move and we're only allowed 3 pets in our house. Once Samson passes we'll have to be 'dogless' for a while but I'm sure we'll get another one eventually.
