Any advice? Old kitty having litter box problems.

I am on the 3rd litter box in the past 2 months. Seems my older(shelter kitty) cat is having some problems. She is missing the box and I now have stains and smelly wood floor. I up-sized the box, still happening. I just bought a big(deep) box and that seems to be doing the job.
My problem: There is cat urine smell and some stains on the wood floor under the tray which I had under the other boxes. She missed!

Is there a home remedy or a great product that I can use to clean and deodorize this area?
Help would be appreciated. I can't keep buying products from the pet store or on line. Everything notes that they will do the job.

1. What about wee wee pads around the box?

I have a male cat who likes to spray his urine high. I got a new litter box with high sides but he still was able to spray over the top. My solution was a wee wee pad against the wall where he likes to spray high. I have to change the wee wee pad every 2 or 3 days but it is a solution.

As for getting the smell out of the floor already affected, sometimes you have to keep reapplying the products. Wash the area every couple of days and reapply the products, like Zero Odor. Over time, the smell decreases.

3. Nok-out does it in a single application usually

No rinsing. The smell will get stronger at first (on old stains) because moisture activates whatever it is in cat pee, but then it’s gone without a trace!

Unneutered male cat = strong odor. Completely wiped it out of any surface.

2. We put dog training pads under ours

And actually lowered the sides when our old kitty couldn’t climb in well.

Then, a feral cat adopted us and and discovered indoor plumbing (floor, carpet), so we discovered nok-out ( buy the gallon size on amazon, lasts forever) and boy does it work. Others were a real let down. This is the real deal.
