I don't think the Nope Noodle likes living with me. She has bitten me once (not a big deal) when I was changing her water-- or as I like to call it the Cement Pond.
Anyhow---she shed, and her owner told me to wait a few days to feed her.
I went and bought some Disgusting Frozen Rodents.
She has had three small ones now. (yes, I thawed them).
What next? How disgusting is it going to be when she poops?

(65,488 posts)I cleaned out their aquarium. It was no big deal--and that's with 4 snakes, not 1.
I would put the snakes in another, smaller aquarium with some other rocks and then take the aquarium outside. The rocks (which of course included their little poops) went into a bucket. Then I cleaned both the rocks and the aquarium with mild sudsy water and rinsed very, VERY thoroughly.
I used a colander to drain the water from the rocks, then let the rocks and the aquarium dry on a towel in the sun for a bit. When they were dry, I put the rocks and the snakes back into the aquarium and put the smaller "holding" aquarium away. I cleaned the holding aquarium every 6 weeks, since they spent less than an hour in it each week.

She looks pretty happy, so I am just going to leave her alone for a little bit.

(65,488 posts)(which takes a day or more). A digesting snake is lethargic and vulnerable and therefore easily stressed.
