Doggos, kitties, birds, my squirrels, & my little wild "pet" foxes*...all make the world a heaven to me. But my dogs have been the ones closest to my heart.
* Have had little wild grey foxes visit me every night for yrs now. I leave scraps out for the little new Booger. Unfortunately his urine smells a bit skunky - my neighbors try to cover the smell with some spray that's more offensive to me than Booger's urine markings.
(Tried making pics but since they're nocturnal, all I get is eyeshine.)
