Had a bout of tiredness from my moderna shot, went to lay down and my sweetie Othello lays against me in the crook of my knees as I rub his belly.
I so love this cat.

(12,480 posts)Literally saved my life.
I was in a stupor from undiagnosed diabeties. I was laying in bed because I assumed I was tired.
As I layed there I felt worse and worse and it felt like I was passing in and out, strange thoughts and dreams ,brain fog.
Then Othello jumped on the bed. I have no idea how long he was there. He began to jump on my chest with all 4 paws,I barely woke, usually a cat jumping on your chest with all 4 paws would wake me up fast, and it hurt.
Than he'd sniff my breath. He knew my breath was different because of diabeties.
But I was in a stupor not sure if it was a dream. He did this for who knows how long.
Than I woke up more and realized what was happening. I realized I was in some kind of stupor because he was jumping on my chest and it was really sore. And I didn't wake up.. felt everything spin and I knew setting was wrong with me.
I called 911.
Was taken to the ER and admitted to the stroke unit. I had no idea what was happening until after a few days.
So,Othello literally saves my life. So he is my world and my heart.
I'd probably be dead if not for him as I live alone.

(12,480 posts)Yeah best luck I have had meeting him at the shelter and taking his gangly kitten butt home. He was the gangliest looking kitten ever like his body was a half size bigger than the rest of him.
Here's a kitten pic.

(115,835 posts)Years ago my big orange cat (now gone) woke me up in the middle of the night, meowing and pawing at me frantically, because the thermostat had gone haywire and the place was incredibly overheating. I don't know if there would have been a fire but it was a bad situation and he alerted me to it before it got worse.

(4,622 posts)I have a soft spot for tuxies! Dont know what Id do without my kitties. They are so empathetic and supportive. No matter how down I get, they make me realize how fortunate I am to have them in my life.
Hope you are feeling back up to par soon!

(13,571 posts)Every night, Kitty waits for me to come to bed, lays down right next to my shoulder where I can lay my hand on her, and stays there all night.
In the morning and during the day, she burrows under a blanket and actually gets some sleep for herself. Sweet girl.
