Related: About this forumSince I had nothing better to do, today, I decided to give the kittens another flea bath
I wish I could have gotten a photo of them. Madoc eventually resigned himself to this process but Morgan was non compliant, from beginning to end. Afterwards I gave their play pen and play room a good cleaning and spray with surface flea killer. (I made sure it was ok to use with kittens.)Apparently it wasn't too traumatic because they are curled up on my lap. So, either they have forgive me, or they are setting me up for some revenge served cold.

(26,260 posts)It's that sad meow face that seems to say 'Why??? Dear God, Why????' that got to me.
Now, with Sophie Stinky Toes I resort to the spray on stuff. And that's traumatic enough. For me. She just gets mad.

Dry powder. Not a poison. We use it in the garden for insect control, Japanese beetles, slugs, etc.
2 types food grade and filter grade, if you do decide to use it FOOD GRADE.
You have done a wonderful job with those beauties, if you run out of feral cats in your neighborhood, come up here my neighborhood is loaded.

(26,260 posts)Fortunately I haven't noticed a big problem but I want to get a handle on things. This is their 2nd flea bath. I'm going to pick up more of the spray but won't hesitate to give them another bath. It actually went better than I anticipated. Which is to say I didn't need to open any band aids.

(5,065 posts)Killed fleas but didn't prevent new ones. They were too small for chemicals, so daily baths. Argh!

(26,260 posts)I bought some Natural flea spray that I'm also using. Meanwhile, I'll keep my eye on them and if necessary will do an every other day bath until they look truly clear.
I have some spray for their bed, too.
So far, I haven't noticed any problem anywhere but on the kittens. Hopefully it stays that way.

(5,065 posts)My kittens were so tiny, much younger than yours, that Dawn was the only thing safe for them. They and their mama came in covered in fleas, but I had to wait until they were big enough to use real treatments.
