Not My Cat is complaining

We never did figure out where his actual home is, although he appears to have one. Not My Cat arrived on the scene summer last as a well-fed, friendly tomcat who hung out on the back patio serenading our resident female cats, who were all elderly and spayed. Eventually, he was here often enough that I took him to be neutered. Since then, he’s been a regular visitor, dropping by for snacks and pets every couple of days.

This weekend, Not My Cat was limping, so I took him to the emergency vet where they decided he had been bitten and sent him home with antibiotics and pain meds.

Not My Cat is now installed in his own guest suite with room service. He’s complaining. Loudly.

5. Even after the vet visit

He really wants to move in with you. All my current cats were neighbors' cats. Their choice, not mine.

8. He has everything

A guest suite, gourmet cat food, immaculate litter box, good pain meds, attention. Doesn’t matter—he wants out and is willing to complain loudly about it.

I hope he gets better soon and maybe he will become My Cat and live with you one day.
