Some sort of 'switch flipped' with Gryff. From running and hiding to snuggles galore

He's just been kind of nervous, all morning, finding places he can seclude while still accessing his situation. Madoc told him off, in no uncertain terms, but then I gave them a little snack and they ate, in peace, right next to each other.

Then he was hanging around my chair so I EASILY picked him up and he spent the next ten minutes just being a total love bug. I couldn't get a picture because he never stopped moving - from my lap to my shoulder to my face, round and round and round, giving me all kinds of head rubs. Now he's off exploring, again.

So I am hopeful there is a peace treaty between the boys. I'll still put Gryff in the play room when I go to the memorial service but when we get back, I'll have my brother help me get some good pictures.

Patience and persistence. I have a good feeling about this whole situation.

It’s not even 24 hours since Gryff came home with you, is it?

I’m eagerly awaiting the pictures.

Was he another feral? It's so great that you take them in. I've moved into the city, but when I lived in a rural area, strays (and dumps) were always showing up.

I had mention to the dr. that I was going to the humane society to look for a companion for Madoc, and he said 'Well, we've got some kittens, here, that need a home. Apparently the litter was found on the side of a major highway, and who ever found them brought them straight to the veterinary office I use.

I picked the male because they said he was more relaxed and socialized than the female. He is the same age as Madoc, so that's perfect. He will get neutered at the same time, next month.

So, it was just luck. And he was free!

I've never understood how people can be so cruel.

My best friend and I are starting a new chapter on this line...we're going to be transporting Golden Retrievers that are rescued from the Korean markets from their foster home in LA to their new homes in Vegas. We do our first run next week and I can't wait!!
