Are they siblings? I have 10 year old cat siblings who still love to cuddle. The even include me sometimes.

They were still actually with their feral mom but I knew if I didn't take them, then, I'd probably never have another chance.

So, with NO idea what to do or how to do it, I took them in and socialized them. Ok, and loved them a WHOLE lot. The vet told me I brought them in at the perfect time. They were a little hissy and swatty, but that lasted for only a couple of days. Then they turned into 4 fluffballs of love.

2 went to my friend, who lives in Chicago, 2 stayed with me but unfortunately, one had some serious health issues that held for no good outcome, so, sadly, she had to be euthanized. But I have her ashes.

I spent so much constant time with them and they still hold a big place in my heart. But they have a great home with a very good and loving mom. And they have their spay/neutering appointment set for Jan 3 so she's a good, loving and responsible mom.

He was the tiniest of the 4, and he loved to snuggle. Well, according to his mom, he still does.

because I really had NO idea what I was doing and just followed my instinct, common sense, and the iota of what I knew about caring for small kittens. I just really wanted them to all be VERY socialized, and that seems to have happened.

And I still grieve the loss of sweet little Morgan. Looking at Smoke just reminds me of how Morgan would have looked, now.

But Cinder, Smoke and Madoc are all healthy and now I have Gryff to help heal that place in my heart once occupied by Morgan.

you start taming them. Looking at your kids and my Sophia, one would never know how they started out in life. Adopting these feral born babies is a lot of work, but SO worth it 🥰

I hope I can foster when I finally retire. Cats & all animals have added so much to my life.

Some days Spooky will let me get within 3 or 4 feet of her, which always makes me smile. Skittish, who has been here the longest, seems to have back slid but I'm not giving up. Mittens is totally comfortable with getting petted and scritched and, some days, so is Scooter.

I have seen another beautiful, fluffy grey and white cat showing up. If it does again, today, I'm going to go out to see how it reacts.

And I would be hard pressed to stop myself from doing the same thing, again, should the same situation occur.

yourself for the incredible job you did with your precious clowder. You gave Morgan safe haven, spared her untold pain and suffering. And then you rescued Gryff. You are truly a cat whisperer, and we salute you.

Many blessings to you and your friend for being such great cat moms.
