The boys are home

The vet techs were so happy to see Gryff, and so surprised by how big he is, now.

The boys were SO vocal during the return drive. Gryff has quite a yowl. And he's too busy exploring to bother posing, but I did manage to get one usable photo of Madoc and he observed Gryff being non cooperative.

I have to keep them from rough housing - good luck with that, right? But if I am in the recliner, they generally like to join me, so that's my plan - reclining with cats, binge watching something. Not sure what, yet.

I'll post a photo of Gryff, if I can catch him unaware. I think this is a pretty good one of Madoc.

If you have Acorn TV. I think it's on other media, as well, but I'm not sure what.

It's unusually warm, too. Just weird, weird weather. I'm going to keep the outage map up and the flashlights/lanterns out.

I bet they're even happier to be home than you are to have them home.

A great day to binge watch something with them!

Such a great pix of Madoc!

Ty for the happy update.

Enjoy your kitty snuggles. I'll bet they will be extra snoozy & cuddly today from the anesthesia & from being separates from you.

Gryff is a nice looking little cat, too, and I love when you post these pictures.

We just took our 9-year-old tuxedo Atty to the vet due to diarrhea. She started him on some prescription antibiotic and steroids to stop any infection and get the intestines calmed down.

Then, she gave us some samples of prescription food choices: Hills, Purina and Royal Canin soft and hard food.

So, the little guy likes the new food, which is great, and we've got our fingers crossed that the diet change will work. Thing is, Atty is my 'soul cat.' I love that cat. We have four cats, and I love them all, but Atty follows me around everywhere, sits up on my desk when I'm working, and when he wants attention, the little fellow gets up on the kitchen counter, yowls and rattles dishes. He's a great cat, kinda looks like Madoc but not as much white, but he has a white face with a little black button nose.

My daughters two girls would not leave their stitches alone after spaying and had to wear cones (which didn't work) so she had to take time off work to supervise them constantly.

Wish everyone had their cats fixed and animal shelters were not so overburdened.

How much did they weigh? Sorry if you posted already, I didn't see it.

The office was so busy, this morning, I didn't stand around and chat, like I usually do.

This is a vet office that has stayed open, though everything, and I think they picked up a lot of new patients, as a result. They have just 2 exam rooms, and sometimes the parking lot is absolutely packed. Which is why I always arrive early and wait in the parking lot until just before 8. Then I go and stand by the door.

everyone, turned into a monster at the vet. He would have to get a tranquilizer just to be examined. I'd give him his kitty Valium about 90 minutes before his appointment. One time he wasn't zonked enough and bit the vet; one of his canine teeth punctured through a fingernail. She was in a lot of pain, but wrapped her finger and finished his treatment like nothing was wrong. That was near 15 years ago and she still jokes about it.

Being a vet isn't an easy job, I really admire the work they do. Happy all went well and the boys are on the mend. Take care and have a snuggly day!

Madoc has always been really calm. I haven't seen Gryff interacting with a vet, yet, but since he was cared for by a vet staff, hopefully he will be ok, too.

I was lucky to find this place. I drove past it for so many years, when I got Sophie and Boudicca I figured what the heck. Might as well give them a try.

Their weight wasn't on their cards. I've got a scale, here, that I might try to see if they will cooperate and sit still, for a few seconds. I know when they were both in one crate, it was HEAVY.

18. You can weigh yourself holding them and then subtract your own weight.

If you have a scale for yourself, that's probably the easiest way.

As long as my clothes fit, I don't worry about how much I weigh.

I know my brother has some sort of scale - I'll ask him how high it weighs and if it will work I'll have him bring it by. We tried to use it when the kittens were small, but they didn't even register!

I haven't had a scale in decades. I went through a phase of obsessing if I gained a pound or two so I figured I'd be healthier if I tossed it.

You don't really need to know how much the kittens weigh except to satisfy your curiosity, unless you need to order medication at some point without bringing them to the vet.

That's so cute that the kittens didn't register any weight on the scale!
