Related: About this forumI think poor Mittens the Kitten missed the afternoon meal
I saw Madoc staring out the living room window. I looked out to see Mittens, sitting on the deck, looking very sad. And meowing. I couldn't HEAR her but I got a sad and hungry vibe.
So, yes, I pulled on my wellies and headed out with some food. She came racing up and tucked in, even as the kibble was being poured.
Perhaps I'm being manipulated, but that's OK. I got in a nice afternoon scritching session with her.

(3,394 posts)such a rough life. Thank God Siwsan keeps them well fed and cares about them.
used to you and allows you to pet her. I hope she becomes one of your indoor kitties!

(26,249 posts)I moved the bowls to the opposite side of my house. They seem to have adapted just fine to the change.
Truth is, if she wants them gone from that property, she needs to be the one to do something to disrupt where they are staying. If the shrubs were trimmed and some sort of deterrent, like coffee grounds, were scattered around, the ferals might just look for a new place to live.
Me not feeding them won't change a thing since there are other people in the neighborhood who also put out food AND they are predators so no doubt they can also just fend for themselves.

(21,340 posts)Would be a shame to lose them after you've invested so much time and attention into looking after them.
Good to see that they have adjusted well to the changed feeding area.
