Related: About this forumOH NO! Nestle makes Fancy Feast. My 5 cats prefer FF, but I won't
be buying it anymore. Any suggestions on alternatives would be appreciated. I noticed that many people have cats that prefer Fancy Feast.
Nestle makes Purina products.

(22,767 posts)I buy the pate because it's grain free and better for them. The only other food I can get them to eat is a couple of varieties of Friskies pate, which is also just as problematic since it's also Nestle's.
Otherwise, that's the only product we buy that's from them or Koch Bros.

(40,204 posts)If the reason you don't want to buy Fancy Feast is because of the war, Nestle has stated it is stopping most sales in Russia.

Well,
@Nestle
summoned all the courage it had - and pulled KitKat and Nesquick off the #Russian market! So damn decent of you!

(4,242 posts)with it's claims this morning. It appears that they are just pulling a few items (KitKat, Nesquik) off Russian shelves. - to appease. Very deceitful & pisses me off.

probably the only time I will ever use that phrase ... it might be that I resemble that remark (Actually I am jealous of your screen name and wish I'd thought of it.)
I feel the same way re cat food. Trying different things for my picky eater, and what he likes, is what he'll get.

(4,168 posts)If I had one picky cat, I could afford to experiment. I've got six cats, though, so finding something that everyone will eat is a challenge. I'm not messing with those dynamics!

(12,463 posts)Othello only eats the medleys.
The only money nestle will get from me is food for Othello.
Othello is my first priority because he's my freind and he's my family, and he saved my life.
Even though I despise the war going on in Ukraine, feel so upset about what putrid is doing to the Ukrainian people for no reason and dispise nestle for selling to russia,
My cat's life and well being is my first priority and always will be.
I feel no shame in buying FF.
Because that is what he eats. I cant afford to buy more catfood kinds that he won't eat.sucks to be limited income. If I had transportation and more money I would not buy certain products, not shop at certain stores-ever.

(23,091 posts)I can go without Nestle Quick but my disabled cat will only eat Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers Chicken hearts and livers. It's already very difficult to find due to supply chain issues and there is no other food she'll eat other than our other cats prescription food and we can't afford that on our fixed income. She only has 3 teeth, so can't eat much hard food either.
Right now Chewy is out of this and out of about half their regular soft cat food products, so I might be looking for something else anyway - by choice or not.
Chewy has this new(ish?) brand - Tiny Tigers that they are pushing on the Fancy Feast page, I haven't tried it but might have to if the other food still hasn't come in stock within the next 3 weeks.

(4,168 posts)When it comes to me personally, I'm willing to make sacrifices based on principle. There's no way, however, to explain that concept to my cats, and they are not going to peaceably forgo Fancy Feast.
I don't have the emotional and physical fortitude to withstand the objections of SIX cats.

(17,595 posts)The "high quality" ( and non-Nestle ) food he actually liked is currently unavailable. So I have started trying different things, and the stuff he likes, that's what he will get, and unfortunately Purina and FF have so far made the list. (This week. The same ones, he may walk away from next week.) He's a senior kitty and prone to underweight. Not gonna sacrifice his health to boycott a product if it's what he'll eat. But I will be reading this thread for other ideas!
