The boys are in a bit of trouble

As I was walking down the hallway, early this morning, I saw a strange shadowy configuration in the kitchen. The boys managed to SOMEHOW get the lids off of their jar of kibble, and the feral's, knocked them over and spread kibble across the kitchen floor. I KNOW both tops were on but apparently not tight enough.

When I tried to scold them, they got into a comical wrestling match to distract me.

Trust me - both lids are now screwed on VERY tight. This might be a Kahlua in my coffee kind of morning.

They have a pop-off lid--no challenge at all for my cats. But your cats are geniuses! In all my decades of owning multiple cats, none of them ever figured out how to open a twist-off lid.

6. I had to put "child-proof" latches on all my cabinets, interior doors, and refrigerator

I had a tiny girl cat who figured out how to open anything.

I'd wake up in the morning, and every cabinet, the refrigerator, and the door to the garage would be standing wide open, with various boxes, jars, cans, spilled out on the counters and floor.

Clever girl passed last year, at age of 19, and I sure do miss her.

That's the genius part!

Reminds me of a pair of kitties one of my sisters got from the pound. They came as a pair who were brought in together. They worked as a team, one could open the bread drawer and the other would rip through the plastic anf they would both eat part of a loaf of bread.

We figured they must have been somewhat starved before being brought to the pound. They were sweet kitties but got into lots of things. Only door they couldn't open was the fridge.
