I didn't see Mittens the Kitten at all yesterday, and she wasn't out there to greet me, this morning

Was I worried? You bet. So, I turned the back yard Blink camera back on. AND, she made an appearance. WHEW!!! So, I immediately headed out with some food, just in case she totally missed breakfast. Scooter was with her.

Again, WHEW!!! I gave her a whole lot of extra scritches. And fresh water.

I know that I'm anxious when I can't find my cat, even when I know that she is in the apartment.

You just know there's no way they could have gotten out, but still... there's this nagging doubt in the back of your mind, cos you know just how smart (and fast) they are!

My problem is when I'm letting the dog back into the house from the backyard. The cats can slip between my ankles so fast! The last time, it was almost like the dog herded the cat back into the house... but I'm not counting on that each time they make a break like that. Funny thing is, my biggest cat (almost 20 pounds of Maine Coon) gets four feet off the ground via tree trunk, and starts hollering for "Mom" to rescue him! (LOL)

I had a college buddy drop by on Monday morning and this morning while he was on a business trip. It took about three hours for the cat to show herself on Monday. I'll have to wait to see when she shows up this afternoon, she is hiding somewhere in my brother's bedroom.

she could have gotten out (except the portal they all seem to have). Called, shook the bag of cat fod. .nothing. Then I opened the cabinet to get a pan out to start dinner, and there she was, sleeping in the pan in the closed cabinet. How she managed to open the cabinet, or why. . no idea.
