Not at all sure HOW they escape. They just do. I was making their dinner, last night, and turned to see Arthur prancing down the hallway.
This morning TWO of them were running free range in the bedroom and two escaped while I was trying to bring in their breakfast. At least I witnessed that last escape.
After Dewi and Gwen leave for their forever home, on Saturday, I'll probably just give up on trying to keep Freya and Arthur in the den. They will still be put in the bedroom at night. I'll just have to figure out how to keep Madoc from stealing their food during the day. Then, after Freya goes to my niece, Arthur will simply join the boys in having free roam of the house.

They learn so fast and grow so quickly... truly amazing.

(26,289 posts)Especially these kittens because I've been observing them since they were about a day old, and they've been observing and hearing me from the day their eyes and ears opened. Which is why I think they made such an easy, stress, hiss, spit and swat free transition from outdoors with their mom to indoors with me.

(21,606 posts)I had a cat once who was so good at escaping from wherever he was that I said I should have named him Houdini.

(26,289 posts)Their Kitten Dad is most excited. He had a cat and was taking care of his mother, who went into a more intensive care situation. She was so fond of the cat, she asked to take it with her. So now he's all alone in the house. When his aunt, who is a friend of mine, saw the pics of the kittens, she got straight in touch with him, showed him some pics and he fell head over heals in love with the two fluffy babies.
He would have picked them up that day but he's been biding his time until they are 2 months old. Which happens early next week.
